CIN Live 2026 seminar previews: Support, insights & training for bicycle mechanics

Mechanics and workshop staff play a vital role in the cycling industry and to support this crucial segment of the trade, Cycling Industry News Live 2026 will run a special ‘guide to bicycle mechanics training’, with Activate Cycle Academy.

With a session running on both days of CIN Live 2026 – Sunday 20 and Monday 21 September 2026 – there’ll be plenty for new and existing bicycle technicians to listen to and take away.

Both Adam Harries and Mike Whitworth from Activate Cycle Academy will return to the seminar stage to help guide attendees through the processes and steps to grow their skills and achieve nationally recognised qualifications in bike mechanics.

Looking to make your first steps in training to be a bicycle mechanic? Or already a mechanic and want to grow your skills? Activate Cycle Academy presents guidance on Bicycle Mechanic Apprenticeships for both prospective apprentices and employers, with an overview of course content. Activate will also provide an overview of syllabus for Cytech Technical One, Two, Three and E-bike courses. These mechanics sessions join a number of independent bike dealer and workshop-focused seminars, designed to help, provide insights and inspire.
