Gtechniq Bike to debut water-repellent Fabric Proof spray

Gtechniq Bike has launched Fabric Proof, a water-repellent spray designed for use on a range of garments.

PFAS-free, Fabric Proof does not require heat activation, reducing the need for tumble drying, which can damage delicate cycling clothing. To apply the spray, users need to spray it onto clean, dry garments before allowing them to air dry for three hours.

Fabric Proof also offers high abrasion resistance, making it suitable for high-wear areas such as the shoulders when wearing backpacks or under the arms. The product lasts for up to 10 wash cycles, three to four times longer than other fabric proofers.

The formula can be used on a wide range of garments, from reproofing waterproof clothing to adding water repellency to jerseys, bibs/tights, softshell jackets, trousers and footwear, as well as other technical or outdoor kit.

Additionally, Fabric Proof has antimicrobial properties to keep riding gear fresher for longer, which is particularly useful when riding in wetter conditions where odours can develop over time.

Gtechniq Bike suggests that a 500ml bottle is sufficient to treat four garments, while a 250ml bottle can protect a long-sleeved jersey, a pair of trousers/tights and a pair of gloves.
